Based on Shodoshima Island in Kagawa Prefecture, Clean Ocean Ensemble is an NPO established in 2020 to solve the issue of marine debris. We promote the collection of marine trash, its recycling, and the visualization of data by using our own low-cost collection technology and digital tools. Furthermore, we aim to create a sustainable resource cycle by gathering support from companies and individuals through our Marine Debris Collection Credits* and sponsorship programs.
*A system where companies and individuals can fund marine debris collection activities by purchasing "credits" based on the volume of trash collected through those efforts.

Activity Period: April 2025 - March 2026
Activity Area: Kagawa Prefecture
Activity Details: It is said that about 80% of marine debris flows from rivers. To improve marine pollution, it is essential to implement prevention measures. In this project, we will use our expertise in on-water collection technology to conduct a proof-of-concept experiment, with the goal of socially implementing a system to prevent river debris from entering the ocean.
