Luis Barragán

'92 Oct.16-Nov.14

Perhaps the most striking aspect of Barragán's architecture lies in its ability to capture a variety of elements within a single architectural space, such as the play of water, light and shadow, vivid coloring, and powerful walls. His architecture is uplifting, not only because of its visual impact, but because of its acoustic qualities as well. Barragán produces architecture that sways out emotions. The exhibition is made up of photographs taken by Yutaka Saito, who succeeds in capturing the essence of Barragán's style with his architect's eye.
