DoMe Perceptive Time & Space

'89 Jan.17-Feb.16

Both the indoor and outdoor space of the gallery are used to present the concept of the dome. In the outdoor display, a hemispheric space is created using a combination of acrylic frames. Visitors can experience an actual dome space within this hemisphere. On its interior, variations on spheres are simulated using computer graphics, along with another work which has been projected upon the screen of the dome shell. Outdoors, one can stand in a dome space composed of steel pipes. The objective is to provide a space in which time and direction are eliminated and individual memories can be presented.
