This exhibition presents fifteen examples of Kawakami's recent works. The exhibition space is designed to convey a sense of the multiple spheres in which this interior designer is active. Visitors come away with an understanding of Kawakami's unique approach to the relationship btween "places and things", as well as "people and things". He brings us to discover a spilitual essence which transcends people's relationship to machines or to time. Kawasaki does not hunt for shapes, motivated by vestigial attachments to functionalist design. Instead, he impresses us with his power to create forms.
