Carlo Scarpa
- 1906
- Born in Venice, Italy.
- 1919
- Entered the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Venice.
- 1926
- Graduated from the Academy, Became an assistant to Professor Guido Chrilli and began teaching at the Architectural Institute of Venice University.
- 1933
- Trained in glass design at the Venini, a glasswork manufacturer on Murano Island. For two decades he created many masterpieces of glasswork (-1947).
- 1935
- Became professor in the drafting department of the Architectural Institute of Venice University.
- 1977
- Retired from teaching at the Architectural Institute of Venice University.
- 1978
- During visit to Japan, he died in an accident in Sendai. In accordance with his will, his body was buried in one corner of the Brion Cemetery.
