Won the Mainichi Publication Culture Award for "History of Tokyo City Planning".

Became Associate Professor, Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo.
1986
Won the Japan Inter-Design Forum Awards and the Santory Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities for "Adventure of Detective Architect".
1997
Won the Japan Art Grand Prix for "Leek House".
