Established to halt the environmental degradation of Lake Inawashiro, which once boasted the best water quality in Japan. By collecting and removing algae that drift ashore during the winter, the organization prevents water pollution caused by decay at the lakebed. It also uses drones to survey the problematic proliferation of water chestnuts and observe annual changes in water temperature. With the realization of the Ramsar Convention registration, the organization is working on conservation activities at a new stage.
