Introduction of group activities

Established as a collaborative organization of residents, businesses, experts, and government to pass on the precious natural environment of the Kinooka Biotope, which remains in the increasingly urbanized southern part of Lake Biwa, to future generations. In addition to the conservation and management of the biotope, it aims to contribute to raising environmental awareness among residents and community development. Having reached its 20th anniversary, it is promoting redevelopment projects for the next 20 years.

Activity Area: Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture
Activity Details: The project preserves and maintains the biotope along the shores of Lake Biwa, which is home to precious flora and fauna. By utilizing this site for nature observation and study sessions, the group aims to foster environmental awareness and pass on this rich natural heritage to the next generation.
