Introduction of group activities

Ai-no-machi Eco Club

In Higashiomi City, Shiga Prefecture, we are working to create a sustainable community through the "Rapeseed Project," a resource recycling initiative. We have continued the tradition of making soap from recycled cooking oil, which began in response to the Lake Biwa red tide problem in 1977. Through collaboration with citizens, we are promoting this activity, which has continued for nearly half a century, to be passed on to the next generation.
