Founded in 2008, On the Road aims to provide educational and vocational support to children facing adversity in Japan and to those living in refugee camps and poverty-stricken regions around the world. In 2022, the organization launched a new project in Japan called "TRUE BLUE," which involves collecting marine debris through beach cleanups and upcycling it.

Activity Period: April 2024 - March 2027
Activity Area: Kouri Island, Okinawa Prefecture
Activity Details: As part of our "TRUE BLUE" initiative, we will collect marine plastic waste in Okinawa to create original upcycled products, establishing a sustainable resource circulation cycle. We will also host events that allow tourists and local residents to easily participate in this process, encouraging them to adopt more environmentally friendly habits and be more conscious of the 5Rs (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot).
