In recent years, aging and depopulation have led to the deterioration of the natural environment in rural and fishing villages. To address this, we established this NPO to take on the responsibility of preserving, restoring, and regenerating Oita Prefecture's rich ecosystems and biodiversity, ensuring they are passed on to the next generation.

Activity Period: April 2023 - March 2026
Activity Area: Oita City, Oita Prefecture
Activity Details: We will create a new hub for marine environmental education at Tanoura Beach in Oita City. This initiative will promote awareness and educational activities to help achieve SDG 14 (Life Below Water). We will also build a network with residents along the Beppu Bay coast, collaborating with them on regular beach cleanups and coastal vegetation maintenance to help preserve a healthy coastal ecosystem.

Activity Period: April 2017 - March 2020
Activity Area: Oita Prefecture
Activity Details: Magoshi Coast, once the largest nesting ground for loggerhead sea turtles in Oita Prefecture, has seen a drastic decline in nesting in recent years. This is due to an imbalance in the coastal ecosystem caused by a reduction in sand, a result of fishing port construction and sand harvesting. This project aims to restore the coastal ecosystem by implementing sand nourishment using sand fences and other coastal conservation activities, with the goal of bringing back one of the leading loggerhead sea turtle nesting grounds in northern Kyushu.
