Founded in 2018, this group was formed by local residents who were inspired by the diverse dragonflies they observed at a nature walk along the Furukawa River, a tributary of the Ota River that flows through central Hiroshima. The team conducts regular surveys, outdoor observation events, and exhibitions to promote understanding among local residents about dragonflies, aquatic life, land animals, and the environment that supports them, with the ultimate goal of fostering environmental conservation.

Activity Period: April 2025 - March 2028
Activity Area: Asaminami Ward, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture
Activity Details: To protect the diverse dragonflies and rich nature unique to the Furukawa River, it is crucial for local residents and river administrators to recognize their value and become more aware of conservation. Through this project, we aim to share the beauty of the Furukawa's nature with more people, encouraging proactive conservation efforts to spread throughout the community and ensuring this rich ecosystem is passed on to future generations.
