APU ECOS (Asia Pacific University, Environmental Community Organization for Sustainability)
APU ECOS is a student organization founded in 2017 at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), with about 50 members from 10 different countries. In collaboration with local organizations and communities, we engage in activities such as beach cleanups, upcycling workshops, environmental education, and organic farming experiences.
The organization provides a space for students to develop a global perspective and a sense of global citizenship, helping them grow into proactive environmental leaders dedicated to achieving a sustainable society.

Future Leadership With APU ECOS Project
Activity Period: April 2025 - March 2026
Activity Area: Beppu City, Oita Prefecture
Activity Details: Based on our organization's goal of "improving sustainability awareness in the community and among students, and fostering environmental leaders," we will launch five projects related to the SDGs. These will include beach cleanups and environmental education workshops.
