Activity Period: April 2017 - March 2018
Activity Area: Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture
Activity Details: The Sotobori River has a rich history and a picturesque charm. It was designated as a Class B river in 1974 after being planned as a canal park, and efforts were made to remove sludge. However, since then, no major conservation work has been done, and the environment has severely deteriorated due to frequent littering and illegal dumping, becoming a major problem for both citizens and the government. This project aims to tackle this issue head-on and restore the river to its original charming and relaxing state.

However, this has also resulted in more littering and illegal dumping. To address this, we will conduct trash collection activities using boats to promote better morals and ethics, create a more nature-rich environment, and build networks for exchanging information to solve social issues.
